Adversity is a Sign of Intention
So how do you respond?
Adversity almost always comes after intention.
Have you ever noticed that?
Every time you try and plan something with your friends, someone has something that magically comes up.
When you finally decide to make that large purchase, the sale disappears or something comes up that halves the money you were planning to spend.
It seems to just be a law of how the world works.
My Own Personal Week of Adversity š
This week has been a tougher week for me than normal.
I had so many different plans for content across my two YouTube channels as well as my Instagram account. Unfortunately, my computer has so many issues right now, so thatās out of the question. And Apple has yet to return my $1100, even after 2 weeks(I returned a MacBook before it arrived at my house and it went missing in shippingš) so I donāt have the money to buy a new laptop right now.
My permit expired so I couldnāt get verification and approval for some of the business accounts that I needed. Thankfully I was able to renew it, so now itās just a waiting game.
I wasnāt feeling the best due to lack of sleep from so many errands I had to run this week. Eye doctor appointments, bank related things, and much more.
And well, I live in the northern Greater Houston area.
And if you know anything about Texas, itās that EVERYTHING is far apart. So a few errands can be a dayās worth of miscellaneous things to complete.
The thing that hit me the hardest though was the fact that I had so much planned. I was going to launch a Notion Template that Iāve compiled over 4 years of social media and content research into.
I used all different bits and pieces of the best content planners from top creators and I also used my own thousand plus hours of filmmaking experience within this product. It even has an email template from Simone Sinek that has guaranteed Sinek to achieve a response from every outreach heās ever done with this template.
If you couldnāt tell, this content machine might just be the best thing since sliced bread.
But I say all this to say, that I set every habit, plan, and goal for this week perfectly.
It just didnāt flow the way I wanted it to.
How should you respond in these situations?
Youāre probably asking this very question right now.
Honestly, all you can do, is perform to the best of your ability and just let Jesus have control.
I know this is probably the last thing youād want to hear. You probably want a well thought out plan that will guarantee that everything works out.
Or a 5 simple simple step solution that the worldās top business leaders use.
Well, Iām sorry. Thereās just no such thing.
Life is unpredictable and thereās truly nothing we can do to predict all that may come up.
What you are in control of is your response. So that refers to things such as your mindset.
For instance, while I can complain about how all my plans got screwed over this week, I can also be grateful that I actually have that much clarity within my life because there are so many people that still lack that clarity.
While having to renew my ID is annoying itās a blessing to be a citizen of this country, especially as a first generation American on both sides of my family.
There are blessings, things to be grateful for, and so much more to look at in times of uncertainty. It all just depends on where you choose to look at and HOW you choose to look at it.
So for this weekend, Iād advise that you look back at your week from a place of gratitude.
It truly improves everything.
After all the fact, that youāre facing adversity at all means that youāre probably doing something right.
An arrow has to be pulled back before itās shot forward. š¹

Spotlightšæ
This week I wanted to put a spotlight on an amazing video about adversity from none other than the father of vlogs, Casey Neistat. Casey does an amazing job talking about the importance of purposefully putting yourself in challenges to get the amazing rewards that come with these challenges, all while documenting his NYC Marathon run. Absolutely amazing storytelling and definitely worth a watch.
