Lessons I’ve Learned from 18 years of Life

3 simple lessons that can change everything

Wow. I’m finally an adult.

It feels so surreal to say.

Honestly, I feel like I’m only now becoming a teen. I don’t know if that’s because I look so young and people always think I’m 16 or maybe it’s just the fact that I feel like I still have so much to learn.

Either way, I’m incredibly grateful for Jesus bringing me this far in life and thankful that He’s taking me even further.

In this newsletter, I’m going to discuss 3 things that I’ve learned over my almost 2 decades on this earth.

Nothing too in depth. Just quick and light because I’m typing this at 5 in the morning on the day I’m supposed to post this. 😅(well now a day before because i postponed posting this 😅)

1. Be in a constant state of improvement

If you’ve ever watched any of my videos on my secret channel🤫You know I that ALWAYS talk about being in a constant state of self improvement.

You should always be moving towards a goal or a purpose in life.

Even if you’re not 100% on what it will look like. That’s why it’s important to create a vision for yourself, this will help guide you in life and ensure you become the person you need to be, rather than getting distracted and caught up in every single thing that comes your way.

2. Be Kind to Others

This may be something that your 1st grade teacher told you.

And well. She’s right.

Being kind to others takes you so much further than you could ever expect.

The doors that open. The places you are able to go. The connections that you make. Plus the overall feeling of it all is just so amazing.

Also I say kind and not nice on purpose.

Being kind means you treat others how you would want to be treated, BUT you also don’t allow others to trample you and take advantage of you.

While being nice implies you’re always treating others how they want to be treated but sometimes at the expense of your self. This becomes a a form of people pleasing, which I just made a video about here.

I got this concept of being kind, not nice from Myron Golden.

3. Be Obedient to Jesus over all else

Last but certainly not least.

Be obedient to Jesus and His plans.

As someone who’s not just grown up in church but truly taught to value having a relationship with God. I will always speak on how Jesus can change your life.

I understand many have went through church hurt or have many other excuses for why Jesus isn’t right for them.

All I would say is to try Him out for yourself.

Pick up that Bible that your grandma or aunt might have in that closet. Download the Bible app. Or try listening to a biblically sound pastor. I don’t have a physical church unfortunately but my online church is 2819 led by Philip Anthony Mitchell.

Jesus took me from being depression filled & suicidal to full of peace and purpose.

Spotlight🍿

This is the first musical artist to be featured on the newsletter and I’m proud to showcase none other than COIN my favorite band. They were one of the first bands I discovered when I fell in love with indie music back in 2022. Their experimental yet beautiful album Uncanny Valley struck me so hard.

But in this newsletter I’m talking about their newly released album I’m Not Afraid of Music Anymore. Which is one of the best musical albums of the year in my opinion and I think you’d love it, even if you’ve never listened to indie before. Growing up I mainly listened to Christian hip hop but as I got older I dove into other genres of music and I can confidently say indie is my favorite by far. Don’t knock it till you try it.
