Maybe You Just Need a Breather

Sometimes we need it

When you’re in a state of constant improvement and self betterment, things can get blurry.

Too blurry to maintain the same focus.

Too blurry to maintain composure.

To blurry to maintain the same motivation and clarity.

It’s no easy task to constantly work towards a vision, cause if it were wouldn’t everyone be on this same journey of purpose?

Apparently successful people don’t ever feel down. They don’t feel pain, sadness, or anything at all. Just pure grit and determination will get you anywhere you want, at least that’s what they say.

And while I do agree with the need for discipline and determination, because while you can’t rely on emotions to lead you in life, it isn’t healthy to neglect your emotions either.

Neglecting your emotions just allows them to fester and boil into something worse later, that might end up blowing up in your face or even worse, your loved ones.

This is something that many men in society suffer with today.

Everyone wants to talk about how important it is to persevere, but no one wants to talk about how important it is to maturely handle emotions.

Emotional intelligence and maturity are KEY roles in everyday life, from friendships to relationships.

And of course, I wouldn’t ever want to lead a community of men who lack this keystone in life.

How I resolve my emotions

While I’m no therapist or psychologist( I left that path a long time ago) I would say that I’m pretty emotionally intelligent; I think all my friends that I give free therapy to would agree too (allegedly for legal reasons). There’s one simple trick that has worked for just about everyone.

Take a breather and get a fresh perspective.

This is a simple but very efficient trick that many of us were told to do as kids and it works well when done right.

First, take a breath not just literally but also figuratively. If it’s possible go and immerse yourself in something different from your current situation.

When you immerse yourself in something, it forces you to breath in that new thing and exhale or let go of what was happening in that frustrating moment.

I know it may sound a bit corny, but trust me it works. It’ll save you from so much trouble that you could get into by saying or doing something when in the wrong frame of mind.

It could be anything from exercise, watching a YouTube video, listening to music, etc.

Just do something different to get yourself out that situation or headsoace. Even a simple walk is shown to have major benefits.

No fancy tricks, gimmicky tactics or nonsense lies. Just the straight truth because that’s how we keep it here.

Spotlight🍿

Now for this week’s creator spotlight, I’m showcasing a creator I hadn’t actually watched before until 3 days ago. Landon Parrott. He makes videos in the same sit down way that I do, but with visuals and lighting which is honestly what I hope to turn christian. into. He gave such valuable information and did it in an amazing way. Go check it out. I can definitely see him growing exponentially in the next few months.
